From Theory to Practice: Tangible Strategies for Implementing Ethical Trauma-Informed ABA with Real-World Tools
Traditional behavior interventions often overlook the impact of trauma on learning, relationships, and behavior. This workshop series bridges the gap between trauma theory and ABA practice by showing how ABA can value connection, self-advocacy, and well-being as much as behavior change through practical application of trauma-informed goals. Over four sessions, participants will learn how trauma history can influence behavior and how to create interventions that prioritize safety, dignity, and collaboration. From trauma-informed antecedent planning to teaching replacement skills and implementing supportive consequence strategies, attendees will engage with real-world examples and guided practice. Each session highlights ethical considerations and trauma-informed decision-making for professionals who want to move beyond compliance-based models toward person-centered care.
By popular demand Saundra Bishop, MS, BCBA, LBA, CCTP has created this new Clinical Series that focuses on how to run trauma informed goals. This is a stand alone series but compliments that last one perfectly
